The difficult part about doing it is finding a pond to practice. I’ve only done it about 10 times and it took about 3-4 tries to get the right trajectory. The rest of them skipped the water several times, but never made it across the pond.
I have a buddy who actually played a shot skipping across a pond that was guarding the green. It looked like he did it on accident, but he claims it was on purpose. He hit a knockdown from behind a tree, the ball skipped once across the water and the ball landed on the fringe. Whether it was skill or dumb luck, it was entertaining to watch.

hi, I have just recently purchased a sailing boat, she is an Austral 20, and in fine condition.However there is a small problem with the swing keel,
swivel pin housing. A small amount of water makes its way past the pin and into the bilge,and there does not appear to be any seals behind the nuts holding the swivel pin , just a metal washer.can anybody advise me on how i can stop the water from entering at this point.

Thanks for the info. It does sound like we have the identical issue at hand. I too had to spend some time working the swollen keel from underneath. Unfortunately, I didn’t have any beer on hand to help. I have the keel stripped to the iron and it is ready to be reglassed. I am going to start reglassing this weekend. It sounds as thought the most difficult part is building the volume up. Approximately how much resin was required? I am going to use woven roving and start with one gallon of resin. How thick were you able to apply the bondo?
